A proposal for a farm in the Alps of Lemna, situated in the northest part of Italy, including a family residence, guest residences, dining facilities, sitting halls, stables and warehouses. The principle concern for this project was to intervene as minimum as possible in the alpine landscape. Towards this approach, the area was studied on the margin of the woods and the existing open spaces, along which the main composition took place. The design strategy aimed also at emphasizing and making more notice-able the farm-related activities (care of the animals, equitation, promenade, social gatherings etc). The "minimum" approach applied in the architectural design of each proposed unit was based on the re-examination of the archetypal typology of the house (the semiotics of the square and the triangle) and the re-use of already existing buildings in the area.
