AgriHinge is a Public Space Design project about the application of Urban Agriculture methods and practices. The area of Landschaftspark Herzberge, consisted of an industrial district, residence patches and green areas, was studied according to its current built environment, the prospect re-appropriation of functions and the introduction of a coherent infrastructure for agricultural social activities. The "hinge" between social activities and agriculture was translated into co-housing and camping facilities coordinated with greenhouses, animal refuge and horticulture spaces. In order to further enable the interaction between the social and the agricultural, new pathways were implemented as well as a rotating function of spaces. The overall aim of the AgriHinge project is to integrate new scenarios of public space within a sustainable mode of urban living.
