Dimensions is an Interior Design project about the spatiality of the two and three dimensions. The project derived from a study of the dimensional and the optical perspective in the field of the visual arts along with an abstract approach toward the modalities of space, namely what is or what could be perceived as space. The design started from the square geometry and followed a process of converting it into 3-dimensional, then perceiving it as if it were 2-dimensional, then converting it again into 3-dimensional and so on. The purpose of this process was to further understand the gradual loss of the spatial perception and the gain of optical illusion. The final 3D model was constructed in order to engage with the distorted dimensions physically, as within the proportions of an object, and to further attempt an imagining of it in spatial terms.
